InsetCam is an independent product
InsetCam is an independent, MIT-licensed fork of SameShot by JackAIStudio. InsetCam uses its own name, icon, and brand; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SameShot, JackAIStudio, or their author.
The upstream project and its authors retain their rights in the original work (© 2026 JackAIStudio). InsetCam's changes are released under the same MIT License.
Your content is yours
InsetCam does not read, store, or upload your documents or recordings. It shows a live preview of your camera on your Mac and records nothing itself. Anything you record or stream with another app is governed by that app and by your own choices.
Use at your own risk
A camera preview window on your screen can be captured by whatever software records that screen. Record or stream only with tools you trust, and keep anything you care about backed up. InsetCam is provided as-is under the MIT License, without warranty of any kind.
The MIT license text is at opensource.org, and the project (downloads, issues, notes) is on GitHub.
